|Marco Vergani – Chief Executive Officer|
Marco was appointed CEO and elected to the Board on 30 March 2021. Marco has over 30 years’ experience in technology, principally in commercial sales, including in the UK, Europe, the Far East, and USA. He has wide sector experience, which includes retail, consumer, and e-commerce. A major part of his career was spent at IBM, the multi-national technology company, where he ran the Retail Store Solutions Division in Europe, Middle East, and Africa prior to joining the IBM Business Process Outsourcing division where he was promoted to Vice President of Sales for Europe. In 2014, he joined Digital River, the US-based global e-commerce, payments, and marketing services company becoming their Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Account Management. More recently, he was Chief Operating Officer at Qubit, the venture capitalist-backed personalisation technology company.
|Rob Price – Chief Financial Officer|
Rob joined K3 in 2016. As CFO, Rob leads the finance, legal and IT teams at K3. He is a commercially and strategic-minded ICAEW qualified CFO with an MBA.
Rob has a strong financial and operational background, with particular strengths in business transformation, restructuring and transactional work (both M&A and disposals). Rob qualified with EY in the early 1990s and has worked in consumer, distributor and FinTech sectors on an international basis, for both plc and private equity-backed businesses.
|Sjoerd Starren – Chief Delivery Officer|
Sjoerd was appointed as Chief Delivery Officer in October 2019. In this role, Sjoerd is responsible for working with an international delivery team to facilitate the delivery of value to our customers. This includes the implementation of all the solutions K3 builds and/or sells as well as ensuring the delivery of very bespoke, tailored-made solutions for key customers.
He has over 20 years of all-round experience in Retail and IT, of which the last 10 years were in senior management positions at K3, including being the Divisional Managing Director of Global Accounts. Sjoerd’s customer-centric approach combined with his broad experience enables him to support his customers in maximising the value they gain from existing and new business models and technology.
|Chrissie Humphrey – Group HR Director|
Chrissie joined K3 as Group HR Director in May 2018. In her role, Chrissie is responsible for leading the human resources, internal communications, and property teams to deliver the people and organisation strategy across the Group.
Chrissie has a proven track record of delivering strategic people programmes across complex, matrix and multi-geography organisations.
|Carole Gilkes – Chief Customer Officer|
Carole Gilkes is the Chief Customer Officer at K3 Business Technologies, with a strong background in revolutionising business operations and generating sustainable and long-term business growth. At K3, Carole is responsible for implementing commercial strategy to expand on business growth and commercial opportunities through transforming the customer journey. Working with sales and marketing teams as well as partner management, Carole has been instrumental in streamlining business operations across K3 and to date has been responsible for growing its annual revenue.
Having previously worked at BT Group in a range of roles including Transformation Director, Global Access VP and Global Customer Service COO, Carole has over 15 years of experience in the industry and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to transforming businesses into delivering outstanding customer experience and strong financial performance.
|Andrew Payne – Chief Product Officer|
Andrew describes his appreciation for developing and leveraging technology to improve industry as one consistent theme throughout his career, however his expertise and diverse background bring so much more. Like other members of our Leadership team, Andrew has extensive experience in the Technology sector and having co-founded multiple technology businesses, among other notable achievements, breathes new perspectives and insights into the development of our products with clear drive and passion.
Originally from South Africa, dedicated and unrelenting are two defining words to describe Andrew’s character – expressed vividly through his love for running. Having completed fifty ultra-marathons including four Comrades Marathons with no desire to stop there, an innate tenacity to improve is just one of the qualities that drives Andrew to seek ways to enhance our products, which in turn, will make our customers’ lives better
